Since Baltimore is in the basement (and they'll probably stay there) I guess I'll be rooting for Chilladelphia. C'mon, Braves! Beat those Mets and stretch the Sillies half-game lead!
They may not have the best team, but they have the best mascot! |

Screw politics....screw the debate....
It's HIGH DRAMA in baseball!
I swear, the Brewers better pull it off tonight -- I'm teetering on a nervous breakdown here. |

I'd love to think that a moment like that jolts this team into sealing the deal.
The Mets are down with one more shot to go....
The Brewers have the lead....6 more outs to go....
I need a beer |

It's entirely possible that, should the Mets lose, the Brewers win, and the wild card race ends today.....I may cry.
Is there shame in that?
Not having made the playoffs since 1982 entitles me to that.
NOT that I'm getting ahead of myself and being overconfident. Quite the contrary -- my stomach is in knots thinking about it! |

I'm happy for you and the Brew Crew. Now I
have a team to pull for
Oh, Chipper wins the NL batting title over Pujols.
I think he's already in the HOF, this is just another feather
in his cap.
He'll join switch-hitters with names like Mantle and Murray |

Thank you -- there is plenty of room on the Brewers' wagon. C'mon aboard. I'm praying for a Brewers-Rays World Series, in a shout out to the small markets.
And I agree -- I think Chipper certainly has to be a Hall of Famer at this point. He's got a few years left in him that will seal the deal if there is any doubt. |

The ultimate chill playoffs:
Chillwaukee vs. Chilladelphia!
Congrats to the Brewers! Now watch Charlie Manual pull his starting pitcher after 7 throws. Then he'll go through 45 relievers in 3 innings and then forfeit. Whatta manager!
The Brewers have a good chance!! |

Just a suggestion AQ, but maybe we could rename this thread to
"Sports" or something more general to include football and golf
I hear "College GameDay" is going to Vanderbilt Saturday
...Vanderbilt!!!
The Apocalypse is surely near |

Warning AQ.
There is a beast in the Phillies 4-spot name of Howard.
Walk him, even with the bases loaded, hell, especially with
the bases loaded. He drops the head of that lumber on
the ball and it doesn't matter what field he hits it to.
I've watched him do it all year against the Braves.... |
