Me too! This game of baseball is just too much!
Wanted the Angels to win. The 8th inning looked good, but...
Any thoughts on the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Philadelphia Athletics? I'm thinking the Dodgers in 5 because the Brewers took all the steam outta Chilladelphia. |

| I think Philly is pretty tough, but I have a feeling the Dodgers will win. Manny and Torre will find a way. |

I saw her with a Flyers cap on about a week ago. I didn't think someone as far away as Alaska would root for Philly.
Anxious to see this game tonight between the Dodgers and Philly. Hope to see some homeruns! Just like Chico said to Harpo: Make a big slam, a big, big slam!
If there's anyone out there that likes to see a good card game, here's one of the best! 6 minutes, 41 seconds into the clip: Make a big slam! Make a big, BIG slam!

Game 1 insanity:
Cole Hamels laces one into rightfield for a single. We don't need no stinking DH!
The Dodgers catcher was rolling around the infield like Phillip Wellman, the madman!
Absolute wildness last night! I still think the Dodgers will win.
Then, on the way home last night, 2 deer decided to jump out in front of me, causing me to become The Deer Berater. I verbally assaulted the one deer and got him all upset. By this time, I was at a complete stop on the road, yelling at the deer. The one had crossed and was out of the way, but this other lawbreaking deer was waaay out of line! |

Baseball is an insane game! The fans, players, managers, owners, the front office...they're all maniacs!
I just can't believe it. I started playing baseball in the pony leagues at age 6 in 1969. By now, I thought I'd seen it all.
Brett Myers goes 3 for 3! A pitcher batted 1000 during yesterday's game. The bottom of the second, half of an inning lasted 18 minutes. The bottom of the 3rd lasted 27 minutes.
I'm losing my mind again...and again. This is NUTS! A pitcher going 3 for 3. I still think the Dodgers are going to win it. And I'll be saying that even if the Phillies win.
P.S., the Philly Phanatic exposed himself again...in front of tens of thousands of people. But he's always grabbing his crotch or acting like he's taking a poop on the field. |

| The madness continues in LA! What other sport includes the art of pantomime? Shane Victorino does a spot on imitation of Chaplin with his pointing and communicating to the pitcher; not at my head. You can throw at my ribs and break a few, just not my head. And of course, Manny is the first Dodger ready to fight! |

I harbor no real ill-will towards the Red Sox, even though I should because they've become not too much different than the Yankees, whom I despise and whom I feel epitomize all that is wrong with baseball....
BUT.....GO RAYS!
The Rays, like the Brewers and other small markets, have a small window before the big bloated guns gobble up their stars....so I hope they go all the way.
Up 2-1 on the Sox....so far, so good. |

C'mon, Rays! Don't want Boston in there for the above mentioned reasons. So nice to see them get hammered at Fenway! Having to put up with Boston fans in Baltimore is such a pain; the way they drive, the way they have you pass them the beer, but don't touch their money! We'll just lean all over you to get to the vendor. As if I was going to pocket their hoodlum cash!
I wonder why we're not supposed to call them the Devil Rays. |

Emeril Lagasse:
"Bam! Bosox blown out at Fenway for 2 nights in a row. BAM!"
Upton, for the Rays, had a Willie Mays catch in center. I stayed up to watch Action Jackson strike out the last Bostonian and that's more than I can say for a lot of Boston fans who left early! |

I saw that game and can tell you what happened...
Somebody forgot to tell the young Rays they
were playing this vaunted "Red Sox" tradition..
Those boys went to play ball and hit, and boy did they |

20 yrs ago today!... |
And there was Dennis Eckersley on the mound.
Saw the game last night and I still think the Dodgers can eek it out. I think it was game 2 of this series, in Philly, where Tommy Lasorda went into the stands, shaking hands with the fans. The announcers love to mention that he's from Norristown.
In the top of the 9th last night, they showed a Dodger picking his nose. Did anyone else see that??? |
