Update: Mel's home. Very Happy

I picked him up about a half an hour ago, and he's looking much better, even though he's being real quiet and not moving too well yet. The tech at the office said he'll have a steroid "hangover" for a few days, and if he does get hyper, I have to give him a tsp. of Children's Benedryl.

The kitchen is now the restricted area with baby gates in both doorways, and he's not allowed in the living room because I know he'll try to jump on and off the couches. So that's where we are right now, but at least he's home.

He's got 2 prescriptions to take for the next week and then we are going back for another x-ray. But all's good here.. Very Happy

Gotta run, it's Alice's birthday and we are ready for a steak dinner!
Talk later,
Steve

WHOA...just saw this...HOW DID I MISS IT?...
Steve check with your Vet about Care Credit...for a No Interest financing they will go as long as 24 months with a minimum charge of $300, (that's covered)...you just HAVE to remember to pay bill on time, I do online-it's GE credit services, or they jack the interest to as high as 29%....
but when my bills for Mandarin and my baby Kewachte ( sorry, just saying her name still makes me cry ) got up to $5,000... I used it.
I originally got it for Human Dental work, but they take it for eye, cosmetic, animal, anywhere the office has the program.

That way you can hold onto your principal in these scarey times....

Sounds great for the Boy...doxies seem to do this allot, must be the short legs overextending

HUGS to HIM......AND.....ALICE

LittleStar has sent you a Hallmark E-Card .

Hey Everyone!

Things are going well here. Mel's bloodwork results came in today and I had to pick up a third prescription for him. Seems his white cell count was slightly elevated, so now he's on a antibiotic, 250mg Cephalexin, as well as the Prednisone and Famotidine he was sent home with yesterday. TG for liverwurst, it's the only way I can get him to take pills.

The financing sounds like an alternative for the future, but right now I would rather use the money I have and keep my credit rating as high as possible. I don't want another payment on anything right now, but it's good to know that there are programs out there.

Alice wanted me to thank all of you for the B-Day wishes. And Littlestar, the card was priceless, she cracked up. This weekend I'll be dealing with the invasion of 10 & 11 year old girls for the birthday sleepover. God grant me the serenity....... Very Happy
