Even Snopes calls it undetermined. And at this point I wouldn't be surprised at anything...here is the rumor:
On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2. |

Only time will tell, but I doubt it. A political ploy like that
would do Obama only harm. Not planning on voting for him,
but you don't get as far as he has being that stupid.... |

I hadn't heard this, but I guess anything is possible. If it does happen, it will be interesting to see how people react. Too little, too late? |

I don't believe it- and I would strongly protest it if it were true. Obama has much better choices than Clinton!!!
If it happened, I would be placed in a terrible quandary- vote for someone with a running mate who would maintain the status quo (Clinton- who is solidly documented as being neoliberal- which ISN'T good), or vote for someone who very likely would get us into more wars (and if McCain died, a Nuclear War- Palin's religion DEMANDS that the US starts "Armageddon"). |

About a week ago I heard Biden say on tv that Hillary should have been chosen for Vice President.
Whatever Biden's reason for saying it, I get the feeling he doesn't have the 'fire in the belly' for the position, and that if this does happen it would be more Biden's desire and not Obamas.
Yep, time will tell. |

There was a discussion about it at our dog park. It would be an interesting move. But then there have been a lot of interesting moves in Presidential politics for a while now. The big one that comes to mind involves the Supreme Court.

I admire people who have strong faith. But I also have to question their faith when it leads them to believe "love thy neighbor, but do harm to him if he doesn't believe as you do and go and do very harmful and hateful things because that is what you interpret your holy book (and therefore your God) has said." |

I started out not minding who won the Democrat ticket, then became more and more convinced that Obama was the candidate that offered more chance of change. I hope that isn't true, but Obama is not necessarily implicated in this, is he?
Please tell me it's not true that Palin is one of those people who believe in the end of the world with only the religious right being saved???? She only gets scarier.... |

Impossible. There's no upside for Obama. And the bloodletting that would follow AFTER the Dems lose, would keep the party out of the White House for two more terms.

Bob, can you back up that statement? I have not heard anything of this. I am aware of what churches she has attended, and of her background. But what religion is it that she believes in that demands the US start Armageddon? I only ask because that is a very strong statement. |

I hate to tell you, but not only that, her church teaches that the US MUST and I repeat MUST start a nuclear war with Russia. It's the whole Armageddon scene they thing the Bible describes.
Their beliefs are well documented, and she has said some of this stuff herself. The things I know about her terrify me.
For instance- they believe that they will have a ring-side seat while the rest of humanity gets destroyed "for it's sins". (A VERY unloving viewpoint!) |

Cat, this site is one of the best sources I could recommend (and Paul, if posting it is a violation of the laws, I apologize): http://www.talk2action.org
The people there document their statements- either with links to the specific website, a link to a video or audio recording, or similar.
I walked out of the denomination she "belonged to" (it appears she's trying to hide her connections) 26 years ago and I'm still working on the damage and brainwashing they put me through. |
