I've been hearing all sorts of negative talk about Muslims. There is even a DVD being put out (for political reasons) that could and should be considered hate speech. Well, this is the result...

Someone sprayed a gas of some sort in a mosque in Dayton, Ohio- in the room where the babies and little children are kept during services. The gas caused severe irritation and respiratory distress. (I suspect it was some sort of very strong pepper spray, but there are other compounds that do similar.)

People, if you disagree with a different religion, it's one thing. Stirring up violence is another- but this is about as disgusting as it can get. These are AMERICAN CITIZENS we're talking about- even if they are immigrants!!! I'm talking BABIES AND LITTLE CHILDREN!!!!!!!! ATTACKED IN THE USA BECAUSE THEY FOLLOW A DIFFERENT RELIGION!!!
Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Mad Mad Mad Mad

This is an act that brings shame to the whole country... and to everyone in it. The next time someone tries to denigrate a different religion or race- REMEMBER THIS!!!

37 people have viewed this and nobody commented??

That is terrorism and the hate-filled result of labelling all people of a religion because of the actions of the barbarian few.

Shocking story! I agree, isn't it interesting that hardly anyone has commented.

Fear and ignorance are often the first step to violence...

How sad people can come to something awful as to want to hurt innocent children just because their parents have a differend religion Sad
Where does this lead to I wonder and fear....

Thats terrible, Muslims are the warmest kindest and most dedicated people when it comes to their religion, 99.999% of them are equally appaled by the actions of a few of their numbers and they deserve better. Some people need to take a very good look at their own actions or we will be living in a very ugly world for a long time.

Remember there are just as many if not more horrendous acts in the name of christianity.

My thoughts to the families of those effected by this attack and may your god bring you peace in knowing not all of us feel you deserve the treatment you get.

I hope the reason that the reason those of us that have answered so far are from outside of the US is just due to it being night in the US.

Shocked

this si the first that I have seen this.

Did they catch the person who did it?

Pepper spraying babies and small kids in a mosque is deplorable and s houldn't be tolreated.

On the other hand , ASB is right, Christians are being killed and persicuted all over the world right now for thier faith. I have been verbally attacked myself for being a Christian and threatened with my life here in my town. The police have been warned about them and they are being watched.

Christians in Iraq right now are being abused and killed for thier faith in God and it is also deplorable.2 priests have been murdered there in the last 3 years for thier faith and opening a church for believers.

1,900 priests have been killed in the Muslim world for thier faith and 10,000 Christians around the world have died for accepting Christ and not turning back to the Muslim faith, or Buddist, or hindu or what ever they have for thier faith and belief. Muslims have killed more Christians than any other religeon in the world and thier deaths have been barbaric....

It is wrong for the Muslims to be attacked, and spraying babies with pepper spray is a hate crime, but the radical and not so radical Muslims are the ones doing most of the attacking and murdering. ....They are even hostile tword thier own family members who do not conform....

DG-truth is often lost on some...your thoughts were spot on and not an excuse for the acts..

I am puzzled as to why this has not been covered by more news media, but I am wondering if the investigators are hoping to catch someone before the story is released openly.

Bob is going to ask some of his Muslim collegues as school if they had heard of the incident.

Wrong. Doesn't bring shame to the whole country and to everyone in it. Very wrong. Just as it's wrong to label the entire Muslim population as terrorists, it's wrong to label this lone act as an atrocity committed by the entire nation. You may want it to bring shame, but it doesn't.

Try to post a message about the U.S. in a positive light. You can't.

Perhaps Turbo, but it is equally wrong for the knowlege of these happenings to be kept from us. Haven't we learned anything from history? Do we want to wait until 6 million people are killed before anything is done about it?

We need to throw all of those 'rag sheets' out and demand from the media to know what is really going on around us.

I agree wholeheartedly! It's good to bring attention to these ugly acts. It's wrong to throw a blanket of blame over an entire population. It's like what The Tanner said while teaching an "Introduction to Logic" class: "All reasoning is thinking but not all thinking is reasoning". Sets and subsets, that's what The Tanner was all about. Just because The Tanner bit all bald guys doesn't mean all dogs hate all bald people. But I wouldn't recommend shaving one's head to test this postulate.

Thankfully, some are watching our congress with all this hasty "bail-out" nonsense. Another topic though. Lots of terrible things go on in this country. A lot of great stuff, too!

I see these random acts of Violence as actions from an impotent group of society that are unable to function on a normal level...hardly the norm, or reflective of all of USA...I suspect we will hear of more of these kinds of incidents as people are growing ever more fearful....

I have reported the same types of incidents toward NA's here and it was ignored, as well....
